Investigation Process Services
PROVEN RESULTS
For each investigation, we utilize a 3 step phased-approach inclusive of an Intake Phase, Investigation Phase, and Disposition Phase.
Intake
IDENTIFYING & UNDERSTANDING THE ISSUES
Our initial consultation with you will include a review of the submitted complaint. At this time, we will evaluate the complaint to determine the impact of any federal and/or state laws, as well as any impact on any of your existing company policies. This step is important as it helps to determine not only the type of investigation, but also, whether an investigation is even necessary. If an investigation is not necessary, we will consult you on other means of resolving the employee's complaint with minimal cost or impact to your business.
Investigation
THOROUGH RESEARCH & OBJECTIVE INVESTIGATING
If it is determined that an investigation is necessary, you will be consulted on the process, so you will know what to expect. Prior to initiating the investigation, you will be provided with a Memo of Scope and Investigation Plan, so you are always in the loop on the process and what we are investigating. The actual investigation is the fact-finding process of gathering relevant evidence, analyzing that evidence, determining factual findings and root cause(s), and preparing necessary reports with recommendations.
Disposition
OUTCOMES & RECOMMENDATIONS
The disposition stage includes completion of investigation documents (Memo of Scope, Investigation Plan, Investigation Report, and Disposition Report). We will conduct closure meetings with you to discuss our findings (including root causes and potential risks), as well as our recommendations. You will be provided with all investigation documents. We can also provide assistance and consultation on implementation of any remedial plans or corrective action as an additional support service to you.
